EMBODY — GRADUATE COLLECTION

THE “EMBODY” COLLECTION IS A NEW INTERPRETATION OF WOMENSWEAR, ADORNED WITH DECONSTRUCTED AND INDUSTRIAL DETAILS TO PROVIDE STRENGTH AND UTILITY. THE DUALITY OF MASCULINE AND FEMININE ELEMENTS WILL EMPOWER THE WEARER, WITH A COMBINATION OF KNIT AND WOVEN TEXTILES TO PROVIDE TACTILE INTEREST AND AN INDUSTRIAL FEEL. EACH LOOK IS DESIGNED TO CONVEY THE IDEA OF AN AGGRESSIVE OR FIERCE FEMININITY, BY REFERENCING OPPRESSIVE GARMENTS AND THE DELICATE-NESS THAT IS OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH WOMENSWEAR. THE COLLECTION ENHANCES THE FIGURE BY ACCENTUATING UNCONVENTIONAL AREAS OF THE BODY, WHILST DEFINING OTHER AREAS COVERED BY SHEER FABRICS MUCH LIKE THE PROCESS OF ‘CLADDING’, OR “ADDING LAYERS OF A MATERIAL TO PROVIDE PROTECTION”. EACH LOOK IS INSPIRED BY THE DIFFERENT SHAPES ASSOCIATED WITH UNDERGARMENTS, SHOWN THROUGH CORSETRY AND LINGERIE SIGNIFIERS AND OFFERING AN “ALTERNATIVE TAKE ON TECHNICAL WEAR”. THE COLLECTION PRIORITISES FUNCTION, DISPLAYED BY A SELECTION OF FASTENINGS AND HARD-WEARING FABRICS THAT REFLECT THE RESILIENCE OF THE WEARER.

THE “EMBODY” COLLECTION IS A RANGE OF FEMININE PIECES DESIGNED FOR THE UNDEFINED WEARER. THE SELECTION OF FABRICS AND HARDWARE REFLECTS THE HIGHER END QUALITY, PROVIDING GARMENTS THAT CAN APPEAL TO CONSUMERS WITHIN THE COMMERCIAL OR CONCEPTUAL MARKET.
